Join the student writers from Sampsonia Way Magazine for a reading series & discussion celebrating the magazine’s forthcoming series: “The Everyday Pandemic.”

View a recording of the live event here for a program that features City of Asylum’s current and past writers-in-residence and university students, all seeking to create an alternative conversation to the dominant COVID-19 discourse: one that captures the daily toll of life through the pandemic from the perspective of writers and artists who are familiar with the experience of isolation and exile.

Sampsonia Way Magazine is a project of City of Asylum devoted to literary freedom of expression and giving voice to persecuted writers.  Since 2019, City of Asylum has partnered with the University of Pittsburgh to make Sampsonia Way a magazine reported, written, edited, and designed by students in the Public and Professional Writing Program.
