Category
Description
Are you passionate about design, layout, or visual storytelling?
The Pitt Pulse, Pitt’s student-run health and sciences magazine, is seeking a Design Intern to join our creative team. Our designers collaborate with writers and editors to bring scientific and health-related articles to life through compelling visuals. We publish three full-length magazines each academic year, all designed entirely by students, from cover to cover.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be University of Pittsburgh undergraduate students with a strong eye for design and attention to detail. Experience with design tools such as InDesign and Illustrator is preferred but not required. A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn are essential. An interest in science communication, public health, or health journalism is a plus.
APPLICATION:
Internships are available for the Spring semester.
To apply, please send your resume and a portfolio or sample of prior design work to Amy Zhang and Ore Fawole (AHZ12@pitt.edu, ORF13@pitt.edu).
There’s no firm deadline, but we will begin actively interviewing applicants in late October.
